The main objective of the project He@lthyYOUth

 is to promote physical, mental and cognitive health among adolescents through innovative forms of practicing sport and physical activity, by creating an educational interactive digital platform, an innovative methodology and sport program for personal and educational development. The project is directed to the following target groups:

SO1

Addressing common needs in the field of sport and the challenges & opportunities of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has led to the negative impact on adolescents’ mental health and levels of physical activity as well as to the unprecedented use of technology for education and training purposes, in particular for PE.)

SO3

Conducting Research and analysis of the potential elements of the future: Innovative Methodology “Physical, Mental and Cognitive Health of Youth through Sports” with Innovative sport program for personal and educational development.

SO5

Elaborating Innovative sport program for personal and educational development of adolescents that will be applicable in traditional school, for digital home schooling and hybrid forms of PE.

SO7

Creating an Interactive Educational Digital Platform (in English) for PE modular learning. The platform will contain interactive educational videos, the project’s innovative methodology and Sport program and will be used also for sharing and promotion all project activities and results. The online platfom and its full content will be an Open Educational Resource with a free and easy access for anyone interested across the EU and Western Balkans. This digital toolkit will provide highquality learning content and user-friendly tools as well as will help PE teachers and sport workers to be more confident in digital environment.

Involvement of adolescents in ETS activities, allowing them to develop their resilience and overall health and well-being and to improve their chance for personal and educational development by raising awareness of the added value of physical activity and by promoting sport and PA as a tool for health.

Organizing and participating in 11 events, involving altogether more than 350 participants from the target groups: 3 (1 KOM) transnational meetings, 1 online workshop, 2 International seminars, 4 national seminars and 1 International conference on the Europe Day.

Realizing a transnational partnership between organisations with a mutually complementing expertise for multilateral exchange of good practices and ideas, with a view to elaborating innovative methodology applicable in formal & non formal education and based on Education Through Sport [ETS] approach where physical activity and sport are tools for educational purposes: development of resilience, promotion of healthy lifestyle, building good health and well-being for better personal and educational development of adolescents.

Elaborating Innovative Methodology, based on ETS and holistic approaches and composed by three modules for physical, mental and cognitive health which will strengthen resilience at learner level through empowered learners, confident PE teachers and digitally adaptive pedagogies.

Elaborating and disseminating a Handbook He@lthyYOUth that will contain the innovative methodology and Innovative Sport Program, having digital version and a printed short leaflets edition and promoting synergies between sport, health, education, training, and youth.

Elaborating Interactive Educational videos, based on the innovative methodology and Sport program (10 videos: 1) Introductory video; 3 videos for each Module: Module 1 - Physical Health: 2) Eat Healthy, 3)Exercise, 4)Sleep; Module 2 - Mental Health: 5)Think, 6)Feel, 7)Act; Module 3: Cognitive Health: 8)Think; 9)Learn;10)Remember.

Realizing people-to-people connectivity between youth from 3 EU Member States (BG, IT, EL) and a country from Western Balkans with a strong European perspective (NM), with a special emphasis on sport as a powerful tool for health, integration and social inclusion of young people, especially of those with fewer opportunities and/or at risk of falling into the so-called “NEETs”.
